Kai Lum
(Co-President)

​Hello, my name is Kai Lum, and I am a senior at Basis Independent Fremont. This is my fourth year with Youth4Good. Over the past two years, I have been deeply involved in the Homeless Care Department, where I can combine my passion for helping others with the fun of cooking. I also co-founded the Math Club and launched the Math Festival series, which attracts hundreds of participants at each event. Youth4Good hosts many other exciting activities, and we’re always adding more. I am excited to work with our volunteers this year to continue and bring positive impact to our community.

Hi, my name is Danny Lou, and I am a junior at Mission San Jose Highschool. As secretary I'm excited to focus on real growth; bringing in new members and making sure the ones we have know how to get involved and stay active. I'm interested in bio and pre-med and I really like going outside to bike or swim. I’m excited to dedicate my time to help Youth4Good reach more people and deepen the experience for everyone here.

Alexander Shi
(Vice President of Online Tutoring US)

Hello, my name is Alexander Shi, and I'm a senior at Carlmont High School. This is my 5th year as a part of Youth4Good. Having worked in the online tutoring department for multiple years, I have been passionate about spreading education in my community. I've helped interview new tutors, give advice to new tutors, create & host tutor trainings for this department, and more. I have been an English tutor for 4 years, and I've also organized 4 years of summer camps to help introduce younger students interested in biology to the life sciences. I love STEM subjects including biology and chemistry, and in my free time, I love to read, mountain bike, rock climb, and play bass.

Hey everyone! I'm Ariana, and I'm a junior at Mission San Jose High School. As a part of the online tutoring department, I am both thrilled and committed to fostering a supportive learning environment. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, as I love being able to pass on my knowledge to help others succeed, and I hope to cultivate a group of dedicated tutors to help students in our community succeed. I'm very interested in STEM subjects such as physics, math, and computer science, and in my free time you can always find me with music, whether it be playing the French Horn, piano, or dancing. I’m so excited to work with everyone to make a lasting impact on our community!

Hi! I'm Giselle, and I’m a senior at The King's Academy. I am honored to serve in the Online Tutoring US Department. Education has always been one of my biggest passions. My name is Rae Mei, and this is my third year working with Youth4Good. I’ve been part of the English Tutoring program in the Mandarin department, where I not only discovered my own sense of purpose but also supported low-income students in China through the donations we received. Looking ahead, I hope to contribute even more to the community and help Youth4Good continue to grow stronger.

Patrick Zhou

My name is Patrick Zhou, and I am a senior at BASIS Independent Fremont. As a long-term volunteer at Youth4Good, I have participated in a diverse range of initiatives, including homeless shelter meal service, park clean-ups, peer tutoring, and Halloween events. I found the collaborative work during the farm events to be the most valuable, which inspired me to run for and be elected as the Director for farm volunteering. Additionally, I initiated and hosted a STEM Education Event, partnering with a community robotics team to introduce children to the fundamentals of robotics.

Hi! My name is Nishita Venkateshkumar. I am a junior at Mission San Jose High School. This is my third year volunteering in the Youth4Good community. I am keen on serving and giving back to the community through fundraisers and volunteering services. I have been involved with LEAF for a couple of years and I actively help out and learn from their educational events. Outside of my academic and service commitments, I enjoy in reading, dancing, and biking.

Hi, my name is Vincent Lu. I’m a junior at Basis Independent Fremont, this is my third year working with Youth4Good. My hobbies are playing badminton, building things, and doing math. I’ve enjoyed working at the meal shelters over the past few years and enjoy preparing meals. I’m looking forward to working with other volunteers in the meal shelter in the future, as well as coordinating and scheduling events to make this activity as enjoyable as possible.

I'm Akshaj Arora, an enthusiastic 9th grader passionate about serving my community. I have been a youth tutor in Youth4Good since 2023 invigorating the joy of learning Math and English. I also volunteer at the Leaf farm. I want to extend Online Class Department's outreach through facilitating increased class offerings and student/tutor engagements. I love to study Life Sciences and Math. I enjoy playing percussion in my school's marching band and performing at guitar recitals. I'm kind, empathetic and always eager to lend a helping hand.
